Myryah and some of her old Michigan galpals have this traditional "girls gab week" in Harbert, MI, along the lake. We piggy-backed a family visit during this trip because we plan to lay low this holiday season. I hung out with Myryah's sis's family (Patty, Bill et al) while Myryah wisked herself away for a long weekend of debauchery. (Sorry, no pics)
The best part of the trip was watching Vivian reconnect with her cousins in the Midwest. She had several firsts: swimming pool, sandy beach, waves, and an evening bonfire with s'mores. I think this was also the first time she actually watched the sun set. We were on the beach looking west and it was a deep red ball cut in half at the horizon and we all counted how long it took to disappear. I think it made an impression in Viv because for a while after that her favorite word was "Sun."
